Ken Ohlemeyer began his career in marketing communications over 30 years ago and has been sharing brand stories ever since. A strong advocate for the customer POV, he is currently senior marketing manager at Concordia Publishing House where he meets regularly with customers to bring their voices and ideas alive to various internal teams. Most recently Mr. Ohlemeyer was director of marketing and creative services for a nonprofit and has served as director of client services for a global agricultural marketing research firm and has held various account service roles in St. Louis advertising agencies. He holds degrees from University of Missouri-Columbia and Washington University, St. Louis.
Mr. Ohlemeyer currently is a board member and past president of the St. Louis Media History Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to archiving and preserving St. Louis media, and also served on the boards of the St. Louis Advertising Club and St. Louis AgriBusiness Club. He is a frequent guest speaker at local universities, and he has been an adjunct professor at Washington University, where he taught “Advertising,” “History of American Advertising” and “Foundations of Communication.” Mr. Ohlemeyer’s essay “Advertising in the 1950s,” is published in the Advertising Age Encyclopedia of Advertising. |
