Keenan Stump

Dr. Keenan Stump is a licensed speech-language pathologist and researcher with more than fifteen years of experience providing services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and various developmental delays.  In 2012, he founded New Balloon Therapy Services to provide meaningful speech and occupational therapy services to families in the greater Kansas City area.  Dr. Stump has taught courses in the graduate programs at Bloomsburg University (Bloomsburg, PA), Rockhurst University (Kansas City, MO), the University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS), and is an invited speaker at local, regional, and national conferences on autism.  

In 2016, The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) awarded Dr. Stump with the Avant Garde Award for Innovation in Fundraising. The award is the result of Dr. Stump's creation of An Evening With The Rents, an annual fundraiser for summer camps that serve children with autism, where parents of children with ASD work with local stand-up comedians for months before performing stage-ready stories about their experiences for capacity crowds.  The event has raised more than $65,000 dollars since its inception in 2013.

Dr. Stump lives in Lee’s Summit, MO, with his wife and son.
