For over 17 years, John Walburn has served in the cable, broadband and telecommunications industry. In his current role as Divisional Vice President, John provides the business strategy and leadership for service territories that span across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and Louisiana. At the core of John’s expertise, he believes customer experience is the foundation of any successful business. He continuously seeks out new and innovative ways for customers to interact with CableOne's products, services and brand.

John is a leader who drives organizations to think out of the box and develop engaged employees to gain and retain loyal customers. He progresses employees to the next level, not by telling them how to lead, but by showing them how to lead and develop others. Customer service may be as easy as saying, “Please and Thank You,” but an exceptional customer experience is listening to the and identifying their needs.

Through this approach, John’s successes are driven off the simple practice of determining what satisfies a person and identifying how to earn their trust in him and the Sparklight business, every day.
