After John served 8 years in the US Army, he entered the biomedical engineering field. He currently works for Bausch and Lomb as Sr. Director of Research & Development. Over 30 years his teams and he have launched breakthrough products in cardiology, endoscopy, neuro and peripheral vasculature, and ophthalmology. This has informed him of the critical nature of the customer experience from the point of view of product development.

Experiences in manufacturing engineering, quality, operations, and human factors for both products and software systems have also shaped his perception of how to create a superior customer experience in single use and durable medical devices.
